Gov. Perry stands up for the unborn

Governor Rick Perry
Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) has declared he wants to see abortion at any stage become a thing of the past. Sometimes our leaders make mistakes, but when they say something as conservative and bold as this I believe they should be commended. Governor Perry's laudable comments came as he stated he would vehemently support legislation to ban abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion advocates are beside themselves, saying the theory fetuses can feel pain after 20 weeks is junk science. However, does it really matter? Would it be right to kill a person because he is paralyzed and can't feel pain? Thank you, Governor Perry, for stepping forward in an age of spineless conservatives. We need more leaders like Governor Perry.

  1. This is truly awesome. In the wake of the tragic shooting of 20 kindergarteners in Connecticut, people everywhere are pondering the cold, calloused evil that prompted the young assassin to look in the faces of these precious youngsters and then slaughter them. Yet, this happens everyday through the act of abortion. We should seek to protect innocent human life at every stage of development, but I applaud our Governor's incremental approach to protecting the unborn, at least after 20 weeks. Only the most vehement pro-abortion legislators will not sign on to such a bill. While many in society have a problem with outlawing abortion altogether, how can anyone look in the face of a beautiful 20 week old unborn baby and say that he/she is deserving of death? To do so, is to have a heart tantamount to the evil callousness of the killer of the kindergarterners in Connecticut. 1. Yes - Gov. Perry has been a champion of the unborn and for that I applaud him. I look forward to his reelection in 2014!
